Aug 1, 2020 Probably my favorite trail run in Germany (so far). Start from the Ski Stadion, head right at the map about 1 mile after start to avoid the gorge. Optional stop at the Munich Hut for a beer before heading to the summit. The final ascent on scree is easiest when there is snow... otherwise slow going until the via ferrata starts. Snow usually found mid-November through mid-June. Have lunch at the top (a bit expensive, but worth it). Vibe is totally different now due to COVID. Typical time to the top around 4 hours

Jul 8, 2019 Samstag in Begleitung auf 4 Pfoten durch das Reintal auf die Zugspitze. Bis zur Reintallagerhütte sehr, sehr gemütlicher Spaziergang. Bis zur Knorrhütte - auch aufgrund der Hitze - eher anstrengend.. Danach bis zum Schneefernerhaus wieder relativ entspannt. Zweifellos das Highlight die letzten 500hm auf dem Weg zum Gipfel. Wir sind nach 5:45 Std auf dem höchsten Gipfel Deutschlands angekommen. Fazit: Für konditionell gut gerüstete und erfahrene Berggeher stellt sich die eigentliche Zweitagestour zweifellos als Eintagestour machbar dar.

Jun 27, 2018 Gestern von Garmisch aus die Zugspitze übers Reintal als Tagestour gegangen. Ca. 9,5 Stunden Gehzeit und eineinhalb Stunden Pause. Als Tagestour doch recht anstrengend. Der Weg über das Zugspitzplatt von der Knorrhütte nach Sonnalpin ist teils schlecht markiert und bei Nebel nicht gut zu finden.
